I thought it would be worth putting two tone knobs in it, like most Strats? (I'll do some routing of course.) It'seems like it would be easier to find a kit for it that way as well. This one has the single volume and tone knob as you can see. So not sure if I'm missing something? Just need to look harder I guess? Are these good or is there better bang for the buck out there? The pots wiring I see is for SSS though, not HSS.

I notice people recommending CTS pots a lot, saying they are dependable and affordable. I have no idea what to get as I'm not very familiar with Strats. Although I really would like to upgrade the PU's while I have it opened up if it's worth while? I thought about converting it to SSS, is that better or should I leave it alone? Hmmm. So I was thinking I'd leave the PU's in at first & buy a pots & wiring kit and a 5 way switch too. It has a really nice feeling neck on it for sure. I'm actually surprised at how good it does sounds for what it is. I order a new blank and will be making a new one soon. The pickguard is warped and pickups are being heaved upwards. Hi Everybody! I picked up a Valley Arts Samick Strat that I'd like to upgrade & in need of suggestions, opinions and advice from the willing? Please feel free to educate me lengthy or short.
